112 Eatery dinner

Always perfection: 112 Eatery in the Minneapolis North Loop.

BON VIVANT dining, magical evenings, and down-to-earth prices: It comes down to three digits in the Twin Cities, with one of the twin towns’ best choices for satisfying and affordable gourmet dining sporting the unassuming name of its street address in the North Loop.

For all those who’ve been there: What’s better than an evening at the urbane 112 Eatery, with its eclectic menu, unbelievably savory renditions of simple foods, terrific service, and the lovely glow of old brick and burnished wood decor in its two-level home in a historic Warehouse District building?

This chef-driven restaurant always draws critical raves. The “fantastic food” served up by 112 Eatery’s chef Ian Becker, a James Beard award winner, is “as good as food gets in this town,” raved Andrew Zimmern (himself a celebrated chef) in MplsStPaul magazine. Becker also helms the acclaimed Bar La Grassa and Burch—the latter a large and lovely (but high-decibel) resto in the storied Burch Pharmacy building (the story of Burch Pharmacy is surprisingly interesting—read it here).
